Cap & Ball Killer

If you never had a chance to shoot or hunt with a cap & ball revolver....... I highly recommend it. They're a Blast ! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Went on our annual Father/Child Hog Hunt in Deer Park, FL this past weekend with my youngest son. He scored his 1st trophy boar with my latest birthday present - an 1858 Remington model .44cal cap & ball revolver.

Here's a pic of the boy's trophy. It's a 125lb blue boar. The gun performed well. The 180gr conical entered just behind the shoulder on a downward angle, exiting the body below the opposite leg, and then going completely through that opposite leg.......all from a distance of around 8yds.

(the boar is the one laying on the ground - not the old fart with the floppy hat! :) )

Trust God..........but keep your powder dry!

Great job! Congratulations to you and your son. I traded off an 1851 Navy replica and kick myself all the time over it.
