black powder
white shotgun 12 ga. Choked extra full
105 gr Shockey Gold, two lubed 1/4" felt, 2 3/4 BPI shot cup, 1 7/8 oz #6 copper plated lead shot, dry 1/8 felt for over shot card

16 ga not choked
100 gr Shockey Gold. Thin shot card , lubed fiber wad, cut 16 ga blue shot cup, ounce and a half #6 copper plated lead. Over the shot card thin card

10 ga Pedroselli not choked
95 gr Shockey Gold, shot card, lubed felt, 1 7/8 #6 copper plated lead, thin over the shot card.
I played a long time with all 3 if these.
The 16 and 10 are side by side. I load the same for each barrel.
I need to revisit with that White as I patterned to 30 yds and wished I had done 40.
passed a few birds because of it.
And Merriams . Awesome some day I'd like to take one.
But I'd want the white tail band.
again good shootin'!

JW, All of them loads sound like Serious Turkey Medicine 👍

These Merriams are Known for their White Coloring, They are one of the Prettiest of All Turkey species due to their White. Me and my Dad went Trout fishing this morning, Just after Daylight we seen 12-15 BIG Mature Gobblers all PUFFED up in Full Strut, From standing right in the Middle of the Rd, in Fields, and in Folks Yards. As we were fishing off the Dock we could hear Gobblers FIRING off from behind us, and to our one Side, LOTS of Turkey’s! We caught our Limit of Trout as well, Had a Good Day! 👍

Dang Lewis that's a gorgeous bird. I love the white/cream colored feather tips and band on the tail fan. Congratulations on a dandy bird(s).

edit: BTW that's also a pretty firearm.
