Scope Mount for vintage T/C Hawken .50

I built this one from a kit about 45 years ago. Love it but I can no longer use the iron sights. Looking for a scope mount. I know TC made one and its part number was 9749 but so far haven't found one on any of my regular haunts (eBay, Gunbroker, etc) I thought I'd give this a shot. I'm open to other options than T/C but most of the ones I've seen won't work without drilling extra holes. The T/C one does.

Hope to hear back from some of you soon.

Ironsighter used to make a scope mount for the TC Hawken that used the holes from the rear sight to attach it.
But the mount they list is not in stock and I'm not sure that it's the same one.--->>> https://www.ironsighter.com/product/...-thru-mount-2/
You would need to call Ironsighter to ask if they still sell it. --->>> https://www.ironsighter.com

Many folks use an optical disc that sticks on to their eyeglasses and that sharpen up sights.

One flexible stick on peep sight is called EyePal which is also sold on Amazon.

If you can't find a scope base maybe you can get by with a tang mounted peep sight. Williams and Lyman both make them for the Hawken.
Good luck

Another option, is to look for a bushnell rail mount & scope. This mount will use the holes for the rear sight. It will be a scout type of setup with the scope mounted forward on the barrel..

why not have a good smith just find a base that fits and drill hole in the BASE, NOT the rifle then, seems like can open the door to a lot more options for you and not be that big a deal? maybe not a factory deal, but it can be done, some makers yrs back even used to sell bases for this,(where you drilled where needed)
