Done for the season

Not because of a filled tag though. Unfortunately because of a torn ligament in my right foot just below my ankle. Even with an ankle brace and boot it makes walking on uneven terrain very painful. So I guess I'll have to quit with 2 unfilled tags. Its OK though because I got 2 this year, a buck in archery and a doe in the early ML season.
Wednesday it's off to Florida to spend the winter.

Clem, just lay on the beach and have the wife bring you drinks.

Doesn't sound fun Clem. Something they say will heal up on its own or will you have to have surgery?

That's too bad, at least you have some nice weather to recover in!

Semisane 01-13-2020 04:29 PM

Damn Clem, sorry to hear that. I hope the recovery is quick and complete. How the heck did you tear it?

Oldtimr 01-14-2020 11:39 AM

Bronko, I ruptured my Achilles on 4 Dec. and had surgery on 24 Dec. After surgery I had a cast that hurt my foot and leg so the Dr. removed part of the cast to alleviate the pressure. After two weeks I was put in a stabilizer boot and cannot put weight on my foot as directed by the Dr. I see the Dr. next week and I think he is going to let me start PT in a pool. I still have swelling in my foot and the calf muscle is slightly sore and losing muscle. Overall, there hasn't been much pain beyond the initial pain with the cast. Cannot wait to get started. Turkey season starts in April. Good luck.
