Casted up Some Elk HAMMERS
I just did these up for a Good Friend, This is one of my Favorite .50 Cal Bullets, it was my Choice for my Elk Hunt last year, and will likely be in one of my Fast Twist .50 Cals This year as well, This is a DARN GOOD Bullet in our 1:24-1:28 Fast Twist 50s
I poured these of PURE Lead, Cast of PURE Lead they weigh in at 490 Grains

I started a Thread Way back on another forum about Lube Grooves. Most Muzzleloader Bullets have “Exterior Bands” That Stick out, If you notice the Bullet above does NOT, The Lube Grooves are Cut “In” the Bullet Body. You will find where i Refer to this as “Inset Lube Grooves” And “Exterior Bands” I have shot some AMAZING Groups With Both Types, But i tend to Favor the Above Bullet with “Inset Lube Grooves” I like the idea of the Bearing Surface Being The Actual Bullet Body itself, Instead of The Bearing surface being the “Bands” of the Bullet. Again, I cannot prove 1 to be better than the other, as I previously stated i have Shot STELLAR Groups with Both Bullet Types. But As a personal preference, i prefer the “Inset Grooves” I also feel the “Inset Groove” Bullets Hold the Bore Better When Loading, Especially when using PURE Lead, They Tend to Load, and Hold a Little tighter.
