I've been debating about what to take up the cabin this year for the early ML season in PA October 19-26. This year we can shoot an anterless deer with a valid tag AND a black bear. I was thinking about either my Accura V2 or my .58 Rene and leaning toward my Accura but then this pic popped up on my screen saver with a target of both the Accura and my .58 cal Renegade (GM 1:60 twist). It would be really cool to get a bear with the .58.

Go with the 58. I have been hunting deer with both percussion and flint lock versions of .58 caliber guns for years. You can't beat the big hole in and out when using the 58
