45 cal Omega

I purchased a 45 cal for something different, looking for the best load combination.
tried 195 grain power belts with 100 grains of pyrodex shoots ok

I have the 45 encore and I love it.I shoot 155 grain t/c xtp' s and 100 grains of pyrodex with open sights.I have harvested 2 bucks this season and they did' nt make it thirty yards before dropping.The XTP on both shots made complete pass throughs.I tried the 195 PB and got a good shot group but the 155 cloverd the first time I shot them.I found the 155' s at wal-mart.Try differant loads you will be amazed at what a .45 will do.Good luck

my hunting buddy has a 45 omega and he shoots 100gr of triple 7 and a 200gr hornady sst and his gun shoots good groups at 100 yards

Thanks for the info, I wasn' t sure if lighter is better or to go heavy due to the small caliber, from what I read in the other threads it seems to vary by the gun quite a bit
