Lesson to be learned.

A couple weeks ago in Georgia' s BP season I learned something. It had been raining all day.I have a Knight Disc with the Extreme Bolt. That Saturday afternoon of opening day a nice 5 point commited suicide. Before coming out of my climber I reloaded without cleaning the barrel.Tuesday afternoon when ready to head back to the house I was going to shoot the charge out.I popped 5 -209 primers.. I pulled the breech plug and had a wet gooey mess. From now on when I shoot and still going to be hunting I' ll throughly clean my rifle before reloading. I' m also going to keep a fired Red Cone and primer in it to seal out any moisture.Needless to say I would have been an unhappy camper if I needed a another shot at a Trophy. Where the cone goes is a small trough where water lays. I think by leaving a fried cone and primer in it will or should seal the nipple from any moisture or water.Any other suggestions? On my old Traditional rifles when I pull the #11 cap I carefully place a folded up paper towel over the nipple and never had a problem with misfires.

Any other suggestions?
Just a balloon, condom, etc., over the muzzle for in-the-rain all day hunting.
