Mountaineer 1:20!

Mountaineer 1:20!
I decided to put a scope on the mountaineer and let one of the kids use it this year if ( a big if ) they draw a cow tag . I only had the swfa 12x so I figured it would have to do
I didn’t vary powder charge , just tried 75 gr . I think if I boost it up to 85 or so that the group will tighten up. It’s still good enough for hunting . Actually have to shoot 92 by volume if they use it for elk but 75 Is good for deer And good enough to practice with and less recoil
45 cal Mountaineer 1:20
75 gr 777 ( volume)
Veggie wad
465 gr Ed’s lead conical
777 primer
Swabbed with spit patch after each shot
100 yards off bench
The camera lens was smeared , didn’t notice but oh well !!

That is what I did - make it into a really nice carry rifle...
If you need another one of those good shooters I have one in the ML Classifieds...
