Look at these ugly things!
Not cool! I got sick to my stomach when checking my cameras today and saw this.
Checked my trail camera today while servicing my sprinklers and came into to view the pictures.
What are those 2 nasty looking bumps on this deer?
Just saw it, but even the deer on top, seems to have a bump in the last rib/hip area.

Those are called fibromas or paplomas, they are sub cutaneous warts. They look ugly buy=t they don't hurt the meat. I have seen deer with them on their face so bad they covered their eyes. They are ugly.

My oldest son killed a nice 8 point buck couple of years ago that had a large mass on one front shoulder. We thought it was a grown over wound possibly from a broadhead, but when I attempted to skin around it I opened it an green slime came out. I cut around that shoulder an threw it away. The rest of the deer was fine and the meat was good to eat. I have not killed a deer myself with any warts or cyst, this was a first for me after hunting deer many decades.
