After reading the title line, was expecting a test of a new monster-sized Powerbelt.
Due to the bullet length, I'd expect major keyholing at 100 yards, using more powder.... like 80gr BH in a 45-cal barrel. But then-again,maybe not! I experienced my keyholing when using a real long 260gr PR sabot/bullet and this pictured conical fit the bore wall-to-wall better.
So I haven't any experience judging these real long conicals with heavier powder charges than a kid's prescribed 50gr.
.Anyone here tried a conical this long at 100 yards, with even 70gr BH equivalent and didn't suffer keyholing-effects?

Sure no problem at all in a 1-24 or faster twist. Really more like 1-20 or faster for one that long. Ed's 465gr shoots fine in my Super DISC with BH209.
A 1.375" long bullet has little chance of shooting well in a 1-28 though. Run it through JBM and see for yourself. It would be VERY unlikely.

This bullet has set a few records at Friendship, most notably at 200 yards with multiple 100-5x in the AGG.. 1:20 & 1:18 twist barrels. MV around 1300 fps.
Diameter, twist, length and weight of these size bullet is nothing new, it was done in the mid-1800's. This one just has an added HP.
