Inlines for targets or gongs
 

This year I have decided that I am going to use my inlines for target shooting and gong shooting only . For hunting I plan on using my Traditional Percussion sidelocks . At least that is the plan . Hopefully I can stick with that. When you see a deer or antelope a couple hundred yards away and it’s open prairie it makes it awful tempting to use a good inline with a 20x scope :) instead . The distance isn’t the problem for my sidelocks , it’s the eyesight . It gives me some initiative to practice with my vernier tang and peep sights I guess .

Now you are getting at something! I can't remember when I last shot an inline. Shot the heck out of my flintlock yesterday. That was pure pleasure.

It will change the hunting game plan but in the 80’s my .54 GPR is all I used and the more I think back the more I want to spend some of my remaining days enjoying the challenge of the hunt like back then .

Are you there to challenge SS?..... or to harvest?

I have only (1) roundball sidelock remaining and it hardly ever sees daylight anymore.
