I am sending my Grim Reaper off to Jeff and have him do a custom build with it .
Remington 700ml
Boyd’s stock
He will take and add :

50 cal Brux barrel 27” .50/.510
Asg Breech plug kit
Hunter nose bolt etc .
Then I will see how that big conical shoots in it . :)
The Remington actually shoots pretty good as is but I prefer a 1:24 twist so that’s the main reason for the conversion :)
Plus it should have less felt recoil than the White

Sounds expensive to rebuild in that manner.
It's much cheaper to buy a 50-pk bottle of Advil and a tub of Ben Gay and keep those in your Possibles Bag at the range with your White ML, when shooting those 600gr No Excuses with 120gr of Blackhorn.

I sorta doubt using large amounts of BH209 with that bullet was the plan. A nice well sealed breach is a blessing when using more corrosive powders too. Westerns load data for 50/90 maxes out at 71gr by weight for a 475gr at over 27kpsi. Thats a compressed load btw.

Real black and most other subs would probably be much less peak pressure. Triple7 probably gets up there too.

I don’t use Blackhorn with lead conicals . :)
Normally pyrodex , probably try Black MZ and also Goex
