Difference between Omega and Z5 Omega
 

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Z5 Omega and the Omega? I'm in the market for a in good shape used inline with either a drop block action or a break open for the ease of loading the primer. A couple of friends of mine have Knights with the bolt action and for me, loading those things is just a flat out pain in the rump. I've shot BP traditionals all my life but since the old man's passing and shooting his SML as well as playing around with my sister and her little Impact I have kind of gotten interested in Inlines. Not looking to go all crazy spending money on something I'm still not sure about which is why I'm looking at the used market. But I do want something of quality and accuracy. I'm seeing several of these Z5's and just a few marked Omega only.

Since they do not make the Omega any more you might have better luck with a Triumph. I have had both over a number of years I still have the Triumph.

Keep in mind that you can now pick up a laminate stock at Boyd's for reasonable money, allowing you to turn even a basic Omega into a pretty sweet gun.

Not all standard Omega have the pins held by an allen-screw, some of mine are press fit. The Dream Season, and the X7 i own all have press fit pins. Some of my older Omega have pins held by the allen-screw. May go hand in hand with the welded lug? The press fit pns are readily removable for disassembly.
