Default Today's Muzzleloader Buck

Gun: .50 Encore
Scope: 4X Zeiss
Bullet: 300 Grain .452 XTP Magnum
Powder: 120 grains of Black MZ
Distance: 120 yards.
Attitude: Broadside

Was in a stand looking down a long trail when this buck came out at about 120 yards distance and stopped. The bullet ruined the shoulder meat: The exit was nearly 2" in diameter. i hate that.

There is a bumper crop of pecans and the buck is very fat.

Nice Buck!! You can always cut out the blood shot shoulder meat an grind the rest for jerky or hamburger. I shot a big doe in the front shoulder last year with my .451 Super 91 488gr. conical (had to be me) I still saved over half of that shoulder to grind up.
