Maxim 50 Silencerco

Quick Google search on the above (I hate embedded links) will bring you to the Maxim 50 muzzleloader with integral suppressor. Apparently this available direct ship to customers no NFA or BATFE delays.

Thoughts good or bad?

How would you properly clean it if using the more corrosive powders like Pyrodex?

How would you index a sabot through a suppressor?

They have been sued for shpping to states that outlaw silencers.

Upon launching the Maxim 50, SilencerCo received several immediate legal challenges from authorities and lawyers in the states of New Jersey, Massachusetts, and California. Since we have no desire to place any consumer in a situation where they may get arrested and charged with a felony because their state defines a firearm differently than the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), we have placed orders from those states on hold and are refunding customers pending legal confirmation. We will update our customers as soon as we have multiple source verification.

When I squeeze the trigger on an animal, its not going to hear anything any more. I have no use for one.

I just can not imagine carrying this around hunting...

Look at the height of the sight set up! If you put a scope can you imagine?

falcon 10-06-2017 03:23 AM

Sabotloader has brought up a good point. How do you scope something like that?
