I wonder how long it will be before you start seeing these pop up at Friendship's inline matches? They would be completely "match legal" to use including the BH209 load.

Are there many .408's at Friendship now? I heard it was getting to be a popular barrel dimension

What twist does something like that require?

1-16 minimum and more than likely a 1-14 or 1-13. All depends on how fast you can shoot them. I haven't heard how fast the BH209 load was yet and i dont know the OAL of the bullet.

That would more than likely be from a smokeless powder load rafsob.

My 45cal sml will send a 275gr out of the barrel at 2800fps no problem. Around 73gr of 4198 does it at about 45kpsi. Ive got less in mine than a new Knight Mountaineer or UltraLite but unless you have a MLII to convert already you will pay more for it now. Just a barreled action now will set you back around a grand.

I guess if you're into this its perfectly fine and I have no qualms about it. But personally I see no difference in performance between one of these custom rifles and a single shot centerfire. It just doesn't trip my trigger.
But to each their own.
