Distance: About 40 yards Gun: .50 CVA Stag Horn Scope: Cheap refurbished 4X Nikon Powder: 80 grains of Black MZ Ball: .490 Primer: #11 Cap A sounder came in at about 20:40. i shot the lead sow and she bang flopped. i hate dealing with hogs at night. The temperature was 90 degrees and the bugs and skeeters were thick. Congrats on the harvest! but at 90* most any harvest can be a nightmare dealing with the unwanted little demons! |

Sometimes I wonder about doing the whole 'hunting thing', mostly I shoot rendezvous, clubs, etc..
But Hogs for some reason I have no qualm about, their invasive (unlike peccaries , aren't even native!) destructive, aggressive and breed like mad. When they move into an area I've heard local ranchers bitch about the wave of destruction they leave behind. |
