Ed's bullet speaks for itself

I was really impressed with Ed's 465 gr bullet and the job it did on my cow elk, so when a friend of mine in California said he had an upcoming elk hunt I sent him a few different bullets to try out. One of them was Ed's 465 . The guy who shot this target is a member on MM not sure about here.

Anyway he shot this target with 90 gr pyrodex p, .060 veggie wad and I believe he did it with his Super 91. sporting a 6x scope.
I think the bullet speaks for itself as everyone whom I have let try some have had excellent results.

.69 inches center to center at 100 yards , I think that speaks for itself.

Ah, ok. Well, they shoot good. It seems like big conicals do most of the time.

I'm here also. Glad those bullets worked out for him as well.

Yeah, they shoot OK I guess. :D

This is from my 1:30 twist Renegade. Shot #1 from a cold clean barrel.

Semisane, why adjust scope away from cold clean barrel shot? I try to keep all my sights set for that first shot since that is the shot that counts when hunting. Target shooting rifles, different story but for a hunting rifle, that first shot you made was absolutely perfect.

Wondered the same thing! Maybe that's why his username is Semisane, LOL!

As you say, that first shot was perfect. That's because it was the way I had it adjusted for hunting, and I generally have all of my guns sighted for a cold clean barrel first shot.

That particular target was the first one in a range session in which I played around shooting at 150, 200 and 300 yards. I wanted a "dead on" 100 yard adjustment at the start of the game.

Here's the 300 yard target.

EDIT: If you're wondering why that 300 yard group is so far to the right, the scope mount is offset a bit left of the center line of the bore so the hammer will clear the scope's bell housing. That causes it to shoot about 3" to the right at 200 yards and 6" to the right at 300 yards.

I've always wondered if that could have been a two or three inch group, and whether those two lower right shots were the gun's fault or mine. :D
