On my vortex viper 6.5x20 I only have about 6' fov at 100 yds and it hasn't been a problem , my monarch 6x24 is only 4.2 ft so I see this as an improvement in that area .

I decided to switch things around a little before I try to sight things in . . So I put the swfa on the original disc and went with the Nikon monarch 6x24 on the mountaineer. The scope came with low profile turrets , high profile turrets and easy grip turrets. I went with easy grip but not sure if I like them or not . I will give them a try I guess and see

Took the Mountaineer out to get it sighted in .
Started at 13 yds , it was on paper but very low. Adjusted scope 45 clicks
Moved to 50 . One more adjustment.
Then a 100 yds . It took 3 shots to pretty much get it centered . I wish I would have had more time but unfortunately not the case. Happy with the way it's starting out though.
