I've shot plenty of rifle primers. To many down sides.
1- You got to have a press to prime.
2-You got to keep all your brass
3-If you forget them no local gun shop can help you.
4- A big inconvenience for me with no benefits at all according to the Chronagraphs.
5- A big waist of time and money

It certainly helps to keep your brass...

True

O there are benefits other than shown in the Chrono - but I would not consider them big!

Shoot Tom, rifle primers will ignite BH with out a problem - actually cleaner and easier than a shotgun primer, and will not burn out the flash nearly as easy as does the shotgun primer.
In my old Omega I shot BH with a small rifle MAG primer in a shell case.
The LRMP will even be more efficient...
The down side is the de-priming and re-priming the cases. Back when I was reloading this project would be simple and I probably would not have complained at all... Today dropping a w209 in a hole is a whole bunch easier!

Currently im having a discussion about using the modules WITH a 209 primer. Aside from easier to handle the module accomplishes one other thing. It supports the primer far better than nearly any breach plug can.
A primer cant bulge if supported correctly. Case in point the NULA which totally encloses a 209 primer. A module would support the 209 primer just as if it were pressed in a shot shell.
Lee offers a shell plate for the little hand primer even for a 410 shell so it can work with 209 or LRMP in a module with 45/70 head dimensions.
Sure its not as simple as dropping a 209 into a breach plug but i find the advantages to be interesting. Now if you can make a plug that supports both LRMP modules AND 209 primer modules, you would have something really unique.
