I have shot with some shooters with these newer doubles as well as Pedersoli doubles at the NMLRA and some have them shooting very well. The match is a steel target 20 shot match at various distances from 30-120yds - just one afternoon of double fun. I didn't note any who were shooting 777, Musket caps or sabots.

Thanks, for the info. I'd like one of the Pedersoli doubles but I don't want to have to sell a kidney for one. I got this CVA for practically nothing. I've always had a fascination with doubles, looking forward to hunting with it.

I didn't realize there was a large price difference between your CVA and a Ped.
If you have an interest in double rifles, you need to bring your rifle to Friendship next year. ML shot one afternoon, BL the next afternoon.
Good luck hunting, keep us posted.

My brother in law shoots sabots very well in his Lyman that is 1:48, so I guess you could try and see how it works.
