You really aren't going to save anything even with a better price because of hazmat shipping costs. Any savings you find on powders online are eaten up quickly then. Hell I go down to Indiana to get my supplies most times. Sometimes to Kentucky. It's rare to find anything cheap in this state!

I ordered a 5lb jug when my local store went to $39.99 for a 10oz container.
IIRC it knocked the price down to a little below $32.00 per 10oz after factoring in all the fees. You get 8 10oz containers out of a 5lb jug, so yes, you save money and you don't have to spend time and gas money getting it.

Putting a pencil to the cost purchased locally, one calculates about $4.25 per ounce if the sales tax is 6%. If one purchases 10 pounds at $199.95 per jug, the cost is $2.75 per ounce shipped, if one pays no sales tax.
$4.25 vs 2.75 per ounce Blackhorn powder.

It aint $199.95 shipped, it's $199.95 + shipping + hazmat which comes out to around $235 or so. Still ton's cheaper than buying it by the little 10oz bottles though. But I found it on sale per 5# at Cabelas for close to that, I think it was $256 total per jug a few months back. So yeah THAT way you save some, but not when buying the little 10oz jugs. Not many of us going through 5 pounders that often though unfortunately.

Depending on your load at this price the powder alone will cost somewhere between $0.65 and $0.70 per shot. That's quite a jump considering you can get BP or Pyro for about half that price per shot.
I guess it all boils down to what you want to spend your money on. I can see the advantages of BH209 and I realize any animal is worth whatever it takes for a clean kill. I'm still sitting on the fence on BH209 though.
