Default Skinner

I decided to try a Skinner peep sight on a renegade . So once i get it in and mounted i will see if i like it . It will be interesting to see what it is like having a peep so far forward . I am going to go with the .125 aperature . My days even for peeps seem to be ending as the front sight also is now getting blurry but we shall see .

The sight has 16 moa of elevation , that ought to be enough especially for round ball or even a chunk of lead .

I just looked at that link. That should give you pretty fast target acquisition if you keep both eyes open. I'm curious as to how it will be way up front like that too.

I have a Pioneer with a Williams Peep sight mounted the same way. I really like it in nice weather. I am not a peep sight lover in shadows. That is a nice looking sight.

The skinner is now mounted on a 58 cal GM Renegade barrel . I have to admit that i like it . I wasnt to sure about a peep so far forward but
It works just fine like that . Target acquisition is quick . Other than being a blurry circle i think it is great

It would be sure neat to see a water jug test with that .58 caliber. I bet that will be an excellent outfit.
