A little disapointment today
 

I took my .58 Renegade and CVA Accura V2 out today to get them ready for my deer/hog hunt in October.
The Rene shot fantastic with 100 gr of Pyro RS and a .570" ball with .018" patch and olive oil lube.
The Accura though, for how good it shot last time with 300 gr XTPs, didn't shoot too good. Prior to I was getting groups right around 1" but today they were up to maybe 2" plus.
Going to go out again and try shooting some 300 gr shockwaves and 290 gr Barnes MZs. I may just give the Black MZ powder a try also.
My problem is that I'm running short on time because I only have until Sept 13. That's when I have my foot surgery and I'll likely be laid up until the hunt Oct 3.

You need some BH209 in that Accura

I have a little bit left MD. I was going to get more this past weekend at Cabelas but they were all sold out!

Can't shoot because of foot surgery Bronko? What? Do you pull the trigger with your toes? Don't be a wimp - crawl to the dang target. :s2:

I tried shooting. But the first shot hit the pontoon and the target sank. :biggrin:

I just may have to take someone along to set the target(s), and load my rifles for me while I sit at the shooting bench sipping on sweet tea or similar beverage!!

I made a BIG BIG BIG HUGE booboo the other day. Was trying to get in some arrow time and the wife was retrieving my arrows for me like the loving woman that she is. My vast error in judgement was in saying "fetch woman" :nonono2: Boy did I pay for that!!! She took my crutches into the house, stepped back out onto the porch and said "comeeer boy, that's a good boy, come on boy you can do it, such a goooood boy" Then went back in the house and yelled back "limp ya old fart" and slammed the door.

That's hilarious Super Hunt. Good for her. At least she didn't video your limping return to the house with your tail between your legs, and post it on Facebook or YouTube. :s2:
