Federal Primium 270 grain

Has anyone tried these? I have used Barnes TEZ and Shockwaves for years now. I saw these and read what I could find about them. Im wanting to try them but they are high priced and I havent had any problems with the other two brands. I have three guns so it would take several shots to get them zero in. My wife would prob appreciate the easier loading. What say you? Oh, they will be used for whitetail.

They shot great for me. Buy a pack and try them, what can it hurt.

Unless you want to shoot them pretty fast or keep shots pretty close you might want to look at a bullet that expands easier. They are not solid copper like Barnes but a guilding metal more like the Hornady GMX line.

GM, they make them in solid lead as well. Those actually, in my opinion anyway, performed MUCH better than the solid coppers did. They held together well in the testing and expanded well. Penetrated pretty well too if I remember Ron's test.

Agreed but a 350gr for the wife might be more recoil than she would tolerate.

The Hornady 250g Monoflex might be a worthy bullet for a low recoiling load. With the included sabot, they load real easy in my rifles. They were one of a very few bullets that work at low speeds. LOOK.
