Knight MK85 up grades

I added a Lyman 17 AHB globe sight, a Lee shavers insert set. I put a shim under the Williams peep and it shot real well. The last time I shot it I could tell that when I move out to 200 and 300 yards my cheek was going to be off the stock or close to it. I picked up a cheep rest on Amazon to lift it a bit. It has another piece to raise it higher but I am going to try the lower one first. The lower one feels good when looking through the sights set at 100 and 150. I raised the sight all the way and I think it is going to work well.

Nice looking setup and should work very well for you. Are you using PPB's with this rifle as well?

Yes I am using the Lee 500 S&W bullet.

200 and 300 yards??? I bet Mr Knight would be amazed at what guys are doing with his rifle and what they are doing they are doing it well. I have never taken a shot longer then 100 yards with mine.

The lee mould is made and the weight is figured on the old Lyman #2 alloy or something like that. With softer lead, I use lead that is between 6 and 7 BHN the bullets weigh 458 grains in one hole and 460 in the other.
