Thanks NCHawkeye, I would prefer to be historically correct. The aged brass looks great!

My JBMR is the brass version, but the gun is 30 years old. The brass has a nice patina and I kind of like it. I doubt it was ever polished which is how it should be for a hunting gun.

the only time i ever polished the brass on my yeager rifle is when the gun was apart to be rebuilt and had the engraving done now i will just let it go i will have any new guns done in steel.
