So is a Ultralite fast twist 45 possibly going to be available in early 2016?

I think the wood stock version is beautiful. I see no reason why my wife cant get a second job and buy one for me next June for my birthday. I spent 445 bucks for my mk85 back around 1987 so figuring inflation in then 1500 may not seem crazy,

You are right about the cost and inflation. Its just that with technology and competition, pricing has remained constant or actually lower in reality. So $1500 feels expensive, based on what other quality rifles cost. I paid about $450 for my New MK back in the day also.

My guess, the price point for these will be a hindrance to most. There will always be a market of folks that want and can afford the upper end stuff...but there is a reason why CVA sells a cheapo rifle, but is the most sold out there.

Hey buying a mercedes in europe is like buying a ford or chevy over here. Nothing special until you find the persons with deeper pockets.

I sure would hate to spend that much and have a stock that pretty and put the first scratch on it. Shoot, I hated getting my forest green stock on my mk scratched the first time. Now I don't even notice new scratches as long as it kills what I am aiming at.

That's the nature of hunting guns. It would be a lousy hunt if you worried the whole time about the stock.

Each mark on the stock should have a memory. Some good, and some bad, but no hunting can be too bad.

Holy crap Muley!!! that is probably the most picturesque thing you have ever written on a forum page. Nobody should be able to turn that around amd make an argument out of that.
