What lube business?
I've been making a patch lube since early this year and when I got home, released another lube for target shooting with patched balls.

Good Luck with all you're doing Jon.
Nice looking shop MD-54. Looks like mule deer country and bet the elk are not all that far away. Cloudless blue sky and great weather...whats not to like about Colorado. Good luck with your enterprise.
Very nice Jon. I can say I knew you before you were rich.
How do I buy some? I have a friend who is a professional round ball shooter. I cant mention his name but I would love to give him some to try.
Everything is on his forum in the classified section.

I'm just saying it's the rules. I'm sure a link can be made up in the future that doesn't direct someone to a forum.

well, they got the roll up doors on now. This is shop is so damn nice! Move into there and turn the house into the shop! LOL.
I hope you can deal with the commute to work.:poke:
Looks good Jon. :D
Good luck with your enterprise, hope it goes well. You should put up a simple 1 page secured website where people can order and pay via paypal, in addition to selling it on your forum. Won't cost much to do, then people can share the link anywhere. Would be just like if I said "I got these bullets at graf's... go here" |
Are they going to use a spray foam insulation for it? It's what I would recommend personally. Both of my steel fab buildings have it and it works great. Cheaper too!
hadnt thought of doing that but certainly something to look into superhunt!
WV Hunter, I agree 100%, I am just limited on time and have so much going on as it is. I'll check into it though. |
MD, I'll PM you some info on it. There are different types of it for different applications such as Residential and Commercial type buildings and such. Some have different fire ratings and the like. I'll gather up some of the info on the stuff they used for my buildings (60x40 shop and 30x20 hiding place from the wife :D ) and PM it to you.
By the way, when I say cheaper, I mean cheaper than weatherproofing with a moisture barrier type product then following that with the fiberglass roll type. By the time you pay for both of those, you will have paid as much, if not more, than you would with a good closed cell type spray foam.
I had problems with a damp basement for decades. A friend who is in business for himself in the building trade recommended I have the cement block walls sprayed with foam. I had home stud out the walls so it would give me 6 inches of foam to the outside of the studs. I am so glad I did it because now I have no dampness problem and the basement which has no heat is a lot warmer than it was prior. It is a two part foam that mixes in the air as it is being sprayed and it gets very hard when it dries.
well shes complete! sunday the cement guy will be here to take a look at figure out costs. So much room in that place! Cant wait to get everything in order and set up and finally work in the warmth of a fire and out of the wind. Especially the wind!
Also, the lube can be found in the classifieds now. |
What kind of heat in that?
It will have a wood burning stove in it later. By the time the floor is in, it will probably be spring lol
Meanwhile, build a fire on the dirt floor.
Open the door when you do. |
If well insulated how about a radiant heat application in the floor? I have it in an addition on the lake side of my home and it is great. My hunting buddy has one of those cement homes poured into a block leggo form on a slab and he heats with radiant efficiently. I think it is initially expensive but really nice heat and cheap going forward.

Very Nice MD. I will be looking forward to purchasing some of your lube when you're up and running. I'm currently using olive oil as a lube and it gives me the best accuracy to date. But I'm always willing to try something new.
That's a very nice shop, Jon.
Aint that a pretty site?!! Already had 3 vehicles inside it to repair during a snow storm and freezing cold. 100,000 btu heater running off diesel for now does the job. We hung a big tarp to bounce the heat back towards you and so far, no complaints. Keep the doors cracked for clean air flow and its comfortable to work in with a long sleeve.
![]() Also did a little patch lube testing. ![]() 3 days in the snow/melt finally produced some results I was pleased with. I still have a ways to go before I am happy. ![]() |
Enviable photo from my perspective.
Do consider or look into radiant floor heat. Well worth it in the long run.
JW |
Good luck in your venture buddy!!!
Was it put up straight? It looks crooked to the horizon.
lol yeah its up straight. The guy that built the pad didnt completely level the drive way area so it kind of has its funky look as it connects to the main driveway.
