Knight rifle 52cal. Parker bullets?

In searching for bullets for my Knight 52cal. I found Parker production makes a 52 Cal./530gr. Traditional Hunter bullet. Has any one shoot this? Or know where I can find a Mold to make my own.
Also would I need to put some kind of lubrication on it?

Thanks

I have seen that bullet and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work well. If you are going to do a lot of shooting it is sure nice to be able to cast your own. I would suggest Accurate Molds as one source of a quality custom mold. Good Luck

I can't help you on those other than, yes...you would need lube typically on a full bore conical. There are alot of folks here that cast, I'm sure they will answer your questions.

If I had a .52 I'd look at the 350gr Bloodlines. With a modest load those things would be devastating on about anything out there in North America. That is assuming you can shoot saboted bullets.

IdahoRon came up with a interesting option....Paper patch some .515 lead bullets. There is a better selection of .515s than 52cal conicals.

I have shot them and the hydracon in 52 . I still have several Packs left . They shot excellent for me , just be sure and use the felt wad that comes with them . They pack quite a wallop on both ends😄

I am glad you brought that up. I still think it would be a great test. One of these days. :party0007:

The more i think about it the more i tend to agree. Plus its a good reason to keep my 52cal LRH barrel.

I think it would be awesome. The amount of bullets available and moulds available are unlimited. The biggest problem is a sizer die. A .515 bullet wrapped is going to be right at .52 depending on the barrel it might work but it could be too tight. A sizer might be needed to get it down. Lee makes a .510 so a guy could size just the bullet to .510 and then wrap. that would put the finished bullet in the .515 range that might be too looses. Also not sizing after wrapping would make for a loose bullet and paper combination. A sizer in the .518 range might be needed but again it depends on the barrel. It would be fun.

Ive never slugged my 52cal but the LRH bore feels very consistent with sabots and smooth.

I would be interested in trying a paper patched projectile for my .52.

I don't cast. if I bought some of the Montana Bullets at .510 - .515 and got my hands on some onion paper ( a little help Ron ), what would be my chances of making it work?

I do have a Rockchuker if I need to size but would need to find the proper die.
