I never reached that limit with Blackhorn but i did get to a point with Reloder7 in my Pacnor 45 in which loading was noticeably harder with sabots. I consider it one of the dirtier SML powders and i do go several range sessions without cleaning them. Sometimes the bores are left uncleaned for a few months.

IMO over one session it would probably never happen depending on weather conditions. Fouling that has "aged" long enough might give a totally different result.

I don't think it would ever need to be swabbed. I shot 50 shots with no swabbing with BH, and it was getting easier to load. It's almost like the fouling is a lube.

My inner voice would be screaming at me if I didn't clean it when I got home. I wouldn't be able to sleep, but that's me.

BTW something to consider about nitride.

It requires a lot of heat during the process. Far more heat than your typical "baked" on coatings.

Same here, I put it off a couple hours to take the other half to town, but after supper I got busy cleaning. It just has to be done with no short cuts.

I see no storm. Just a discussion.
