Knight Replacement Barrels

I wonder if they ever have their replacement barrels on sale. I bought a Knight "project" rifle at a local pawn shop in September. All works well and it looks good, but the barrel is pitted and I can't get it to hold decent groups with Bullshops .504/460's. It's a USAK that seems to use the same replacement barrel as Wolverine, LK-II, LK-93, 1990's Little Horn, and others.

I acquired the project as a possible solution to TC QLA issues.

On the bench, muzzle jump recoil with the 22" barrel and heavy conical wakes you up.

I know a lot of folks solved the issues of un-centered QLA systems by just cutting the stupid things off and re-crowning. It's sure not like there isn't enough barrel length!

X2 in agreement. Unless the purchase is for extra parts, or a totally different twist - or for another family member, I could never understand why someone wants two of the same.

I have two 1:28 twists and a 1:66. If I were to buy another two MLs, they would be 1:48 and 1:20. I only keep two 1:28s, for lending out the 2nd one to my grandson.

I suppose we could collect different designs. Have one break action - one bolt action - one fall action - one plunger action, one flintlock, one percussion.......etc.......etc. That would make a nice collection.

Serious hunters always want back up in case something happens.

Yep, like a scope on your favorite ML going down, or a breach plug gets shot out, or a sear in the trigger gets worn, or a little spring in there goes the way of the elves (been there done that) all kinds of things requiring a back up plan. Especially when hunting out of state. You ALWAYS want a backup weapon.

Or 4 or 5 break action, 10 or 20 bolt action, 3 or 4 fall action, 7 or 8 plunger action , 2 or 3 flintlock, 9 or 10 percussion etc etc
That would be a good start to a collection :)
But not one ......like the old song " one is The loneliest number "

I learned something new today. I'm not a serious hunter, because I don't have a backup rifle.

I must be lucky, because i've never needed one so far.

Yep, every time i hunt at the property a backup rifle is ready in reserve. You never know when a hunting buddy is gunna show up with a cheaper brand and need a good quality rifle. :D
