Default Too many muzzies

I was just looking at all my MLs last night and I decided that I have too many.
I did a bit of switching of barrels, locks and stocks. My good friend and hunting buddy has been looking for a .54 PRB shooter. He is going to be pleasantly surprised when I go over his house tonight after he gets home from work and hand him a T/C Hawken caplock with a GM 1:70 twist .54.

Wow, that's mighty generous of you........ good guy Bronko!

But if you are giving away a ML of that magnitude, what roundballer are you keeping, that's better than your 1-70 Hawkens?

Describe it please!..... Sounds special!

Funny you mention this. I was cleaning and oiling rifles this week and after days of swabbing, wiping, and inspecting, I decided ... what have I done? I did not even know what rifles I had anymore. No wonder my family thinks I am insane.

I can understand making up a nice rifle and giving it to someone who needs/deserves it. What a wonderful gesture you are making. Its really a great way to say ... thanks for all you do and for being a good friend. Way to go!!

I have a .50 cal caplock Hawken with a GM LRH bbl, a .50 flinter with a GM 1:66 or 1:70 in a pecatonica long rifle supply curly maple Hawken style stock, .50 cal Rene flinter, a .45 Hawken with GM LRH bbl and a .58 cal Rene with GM 1:70 bbl.
Then I have a Knight .54 and a CVA Accura V2 .50 cal.
My 2 favorites are the .58 and the .50 cal curly maple flinter. Both shoot PRBs
BTW - I took it over to him and just about had to twist his arm to take it. He kept telling me to take it back home with me. I gave him a mould and 4 boxes of RBs along with the rifle.

I also have quite a few weapons and really do not need any more. Still I have been wanting a bolt gun in .223 for a while and a slug gun would be nice ohh and....

Don't tell me you're a lefty too! So am I. The one gun shop here has a left hand Lyman GPR. Don't remember if its a flinter or not.
