Ed' 465 Grain Boolit

A box of Ed' boolit arrived here this afternoon, and with hurricane type winds forecast for tomorrow, it seemed prudent to try one out this afternoon.

The range was 25 yard. Powder charge was 80g Blackhorn

The following photo shows the jugs in the order they were before the shot, and the way they looked after the shot. The first two jugs were totally shredded. The third jug had a hole in, and a hole out. The fourth jug held the boolit. Watching the video, one sees the second jug fly up and away, high in the sky, then come back into view, landing on the ground.

The 45 caliber boolit now weighs 458.6 grain, and measures one inch shy across the widest portion of the mushroom, just so barely less than an inch.

I gots me a box of the NoExcuses .451 460s. I do like the big 451s better than the 50cals.

Wow.. that is an impressive bullet. Well made and they are accurate to boot.

Good stuff right there!

Ed may not see a deer for several years. Not after enlisting that fired lead bullet as public information on video. Deer and elk aren't stupid, you know! Look to your left <<<<<<
There's a deer right there, hot-footing it out of Dodge.

I have a box of Ed's bullets , waiting on a sizer in the process of being made from a slug from my barrel. I have seen some of Semi's targets he has shot in the past with them out to 300 yds . cant ask anything more with Eds bullets

Ed is an artist. Those bullets of his are as good as any I've ever seen. They are what I call "match quality".

I agree. And the two deer I shot with them last season also agree. They said "those bullets are to die for". (Both dropped on the spot.)

The second buck I ever shot, I had the stupid notion to stradle it's back to lift the head and slit the throat to bleed out. Boy was that a mistake! 65 pound 7 year old going for a ride on a 180 pound buck! I didn't ride far and he didn't run far but it was surely one hell of a lesson! :s2: I wasn't sure my dad was gonna be able to breath right again he was laughing so dang hard! Tears streaming down his face. Coughing from laughing, I think he even peed himself a little bit. I know I did :eek2:
