looking for bullet and sabot to shoot in tight barrel
 
what to try in a tight 45 cal barrel , a 400 xtp 200 g hornady in a mmp tan sabot is a jab jab jab all way down to tight I think, if i cast a lead bullet and size it to .398 shoot in tan sabot would it go easyer and shoot good . surely i aint only one with a tight barrel what are you guys shooting in yours. anyone casting there own bullet for a sabot ? thanks Last

You could try the crush rib, it is too loose in my barrel.

The Harvester website is not currently listing the Crushed Rib sabot for 45/40. I found some at midsouth below.

They sure do list them but i would never pay that much for them.

are you talking about the non embbeding bore cleaning compound
think it is in blue jar or blue lid ? brownells got several different jars of the stuff to pick from .

I'm not at home now, but it's in a little white container. If Sabotloaders sees this he knows for sure. When I get home I'll double check

Blue is the cleaner which most people use.


Red is more abrasive which is actually a polish.
