BC of .295 is really good . That would be a 300 ydbullet easily and could be stretched to 400 if the accuracy is there at that range .i plan on harvesting a few deer or antelope with it so i guess i will see how it performs soon enough

That BC is amazing. It's actually better then the 230grn Lehigh that never really materialized because of different opinions and results. I think the small nose like sabotloader says is the key. I need to shoot that bullet threw some crap to see if anything can restrict it from working like it's supposed to. Cause it does have a small nose on it.
Mike, I wish you would of shot a fourth shot on group 1. Can't ask for much better on group 2. |

The Bc is really up there. The Parker 275 gr BE is listed at .296 and that was obtained using smokeless powder at higher velocity. Toby rated the bc of the parker at .250 so to get .295 at those velocities from the Lehigh is amazing. I hope it is accurate.

Could you imagine what 130grns by volume would do?

Another thing is when shooting both of these rifles with the new CF they both shoot approximately 4" high. There is only 5" of target above the center of the bull. Both rifles are/were sighted in to be 3" high at a 100 with the Lehigh/Bloodline 40x200 DOA. So to get the bullet on target I have to make up a hold on the target other than dead center on the bull. getting that hold the same each time is also an event. Now that I know the bullet has a value - I will actually sight the rifles in, adjust the scopes, with that particular bullet. I just hate moving scopes in the summer. |
Sabot, just put a round stickum 3 inches low on your target with an + on it and make that your aim point. Just make sure you get the + level with the Bulls + so that you wont be canting the rifle.

And I really do depend on the horizontal line to help keep from canting the rifle. |
You have to be stubborn to like shooting a smoke pole. Haven't met a smoke poler yet that wouldn't give a Mule a run for it's money :s1:
