The perfect gun

What would you consider as the perfect gun for you ?
For me i think it would be a Knight Elite in 45 cal with a 1:20 twist , freefloated and bedded with nfpj bare primer .
In Traditional it would be a .54 cal hawken , curly maple with a gain twist and swamped barrel and creedmore sight . But ive been known to change my mind .

54-120 Brush Gun with a Lehigh NFPJ...Oh yeah, i already have one of those. :D

ULA Model 20 in 45cal 1-20...Melvin refuses to make anymore in 45 regardless of how much i beg. :p

How about a New Pederdoli Denali for the brush gun
:)

Do to some real changes in taste recently, when it comes to muzzleloaders, it would have to be traditional, flintlock, nice wood, and a swamped barrel comparable to a White .451 conical shooting rifle. Something that could accurately throw large lead conicals, and the stock to take the strain. To me this would be about the perfect hunting/target rifle.

Whatever put's the smackdown on the meat is absolutely PERFECT for me! Since I can't use anything without that devils glass anymore I have no real world use for what I would really like which almost mimics your traditional .54 cal Hawken except for the curly maple. I love my walnut!

Omega X7

For me the perfect rifle is the X7.

A custom built Hawken, but I can't afford one, so it's a dream.

I tried to get one today, but the bid went too high.

This is the one I tried to get.

I'll go along with Ron for my top choice in an inline. The Omega action is a thing of beautiful simplicity with some of the virtues of a break open (i.e. short action, easy breech plug access) and some of the virtues of a bolt action (i.e. one piece barrel & action bedded in stock, no hinge pin issues). And the X7 model is sweet.

As for traditional, like Cayuged I lean more in that direction these days. But I've gotten over my need for a custom build. The .54 Lyman Great Plains flintlock suits me fine. I just wish they made one in .58.

I tried, no one will bore that 15/16" barrel to .58.
