Lee .501 lube sizer and a cheap Lee hand press. You might need a steel ball bearing to fit the cupped base. If you already have a press you are looking at about $21.
Problem solved. :D Same with bullets that need to be paper-patched or knurled. No thanks! If they don't load or shoot proper for me, they either collect dust, get sold, or given away. I just gave my local police department two boxes of 45-cal XTPs - about 80-90 of each...... 230 grain and 185 grain. |
OMG! That bullet at that price should be a 'drop-in" and go. At most, add a wad or cornmeal. There are no standards for a ML land or groove measurements so some of us improvise and adapt. I have a ton of MMP shorts. Instead of getting rid of them i resized my Parkers/XTPs/SSTs to .4495 with a die i use mainly for sabotless loads. Amazingly they shoot as well as the Harvester short black in that rifle. |

That would work if all bores were the same size. Unfortunately there are no real standards there. Only one I know can be count on in that area are Whites. |
