Triumph triumphs.

I was digging around looking for a gun to take pictures of and saw my triumph. I haven't shot it in a lot of years. it was the first muzzy I ever shot a deer over 200 yards with. I decided to get it out and dust it off. I grabbed some blackhorn, federal primers and some 250 gr SST's and headed to the range ( my pasture)

This is my short range I can shoot out to 287 yards

I used 90 gr of blackhorn as a starting point , took a shot and hit slightly left. went 4 clicks right and got the hole you see in the center. Hole on the left was first shot on cold clean barrel

I figured that was good enough and shot a group. the center is actually 3 shots

picked up some sabots on the way to the target. they were 14 yards out

I shot this at 150 yards

My ramrod came apart, it broke were the threads are inside, luckily the rod on the Triumph with the powerend is fairly decent so I used it rather than drive back home for a new rod.

Then I shot this 150 yard group

After that I decided to just play around and shoot at my gongs

this is my 16 inch 1/2 inch steel

these are my cheapo tractor disc gongs.

They work great for the muzzleloaders but not for a .308 as you can see the holes in them from a 168 gr Norma at 600 yards.

I only shot at the gong with the Triumph out to 300 yards in the above pic.
But here is my 600 yard pic

and here is my 1000 yards

its kinda hard to see the gongs but they are there

Excellent shooting. That Triumph is a real shooter. What kind of scope is on that thing?

Stop spending money on bullets, and put some bear grease on your boots.

What kind of mountain man are you?
