Thanks for the replies. Weight is not a problem. I hike a short distance (uphill, because I learned long ago to only drag deer downhill) to my stand. I am leaning toward the faster twist because of my T/C's accuracy with the 425 gr. Buffalo bullet, and I plan on starting out with the same bullet and 90 grains of Pyrodex. Any load suggestions appreciated.

About 10 years ago, I wish a poster on this board, or elsewhere, had told me prior to purchase, that the trigger guard on the Pedersoli Rolling Block inline I purchased back then was small..... an obvious oversight I made then. I never shouldered the gun at Cabelas with my thick hunting gloves on. As a result, I hunted one winter with the Rolling Block, then sold the ML the following year. My fingers are the most cold-sensitive body part I have.

Just trying to help-out prospective ML purchasers here, that's all.

I don't like my fingers getting cold either, but I especially don't like putting a gloved finger on my trigger. I usually wear a mitt style that can be easily opened to expose the trigger finger or wear a fingerless style that keeps the back of my hand warm but leaves the fingers to do their work. I have never, ever, shot a deer with a gloved finger on my trigger and never will. I just have to feel my bare finger on that trigger.
