As for the question of using urine to clean a rifle. I read that during the civil war, because water was many times rationed due to battle field conditions and locations of camp, soldiers did use urine to clean their unloaded rifles. I always wondered about that. They must have dry patched it real good after cleaning out the fouling, or what ever.
