Default OT new knife I made

This one is made with 154cm stainless and cryogenically treated, and Hand made Mosaic pins. I made a ring with the same wood to match it.

Perfect size for skinning. I always have to chuckle when I see the youngsters with a giant "Bowie" knife on their belt.

EDIT: I chuckle because I remember way back when I had one too. Damn near useless.

I know what you mean Semisane. I've skinned out more deer with a Barlow Pocket Knife with a 2" blade then I sometimes care to remember. All them monster knives are sometimes good for is breaking the pelvis. Like you, my first hunting knife was a WWII Marine Fighting Knight I bought at the Army Navy store.

Those pins are beautiful Ron. How did you make them?

Thanks guys. I like the size a lot, I can't stand huge knives. My son is trying to lay claim on it but that ain't going to happen. Well not right now.

I went to the hardware store and started to push stuff into a 1/4" tube. Then I epoxied it together. The pins are fun to make and see after it is done. I color the center tube yellow on the ones I keep because it is my wife's favorite color.
