Default Barnes spit fire t ez 250 grain

Hi guys, I am shooting a Thompson center triumph bone collector and I was wondering if anyone shoots the Barnes spit fire t ez 250 grain out of their T/C Bone Collector and what type of groups you are getting. Thanks

This was shot out of the TC Triumph 50 cal. at 100 yds, I believe it was with the 250gr TEZ, possibly the TMZ, I'll have to check my records when I get home.

The load out of the Triumph we use currently is 110grs of BH209, 250gr TEZ, Harvester smooth black sabot for bullets 300gr or less.

Default spitfire tez 250 gr.

I shoot the Barnes .250 gr. TEZ out of my Omega. I get excellent groups using the Harvester short black sabot and 100-110 gr of BH209.
I have shot several deer with this load, I like this combination much better than the 250 gr. shockwave I used to use.

It's an excellent bullet. Like BuckDoeHunter, I shoot them out of Harvester Smooth sabots. I haven't found a gun they won't shoot well out of and the performance on deer is outstanding.

My middle name is 'Cheapskate" and I'm fond of these below. (50 for $21)

Plastic sabots from Harvester can be purchased there also.

Or you can buy the same items from Ed's Gunshop for slightly less $$$ and less shipping cost. I do rather like Harvester but the shipping is a bit high.

Ask for Carlos
Ed's Gun Shop 5560 US 1 HWY Vass, NC 28394 (910) 692-7936

The Barnes can be bought in bulk from Luke at smokelessmz.com for a bit less than other vendors.

His Harvester sabot pricing is fairly reasonable too http://smokelessmz.com/bullets.html

Grafs has about the best price on Harvester sabots ive seen. As low as $5.79/50

I am familiar with Carlos and his establishment. Do you have any idea if he supplies any home-made bulets... lets say from someone that produces 320 grain Lee REAL bullets?.... other than emailing mountainman?

I have a new Knight ML and I like smoothing things-out in the bore first with conicals. Instead of bruising my shoulder shooting No Excuse 460s, I thought I would try a box of Lee REAL 320s.

Then afterwards, move into the sabot/bullets I have planned.
