Talking No Excuse Bullets!!!

I called these folks up a while back about their bullets. Had a good report from a friend about them. This is their site:

http://muzzleloading-bullets.com/index.htm

I got the .45 (460 gr.) and .50 cal (495 gr.) bullets

This is a box of the .45 cal. bullets:

What amazes me is you order the bullets and he sends them to you with an invoice. You then make out a check or money order and mail it to him. I'm writing out a check now. Good to do business with a trusting soul. Makes me feel if I have any problems, they will correct them - no sweat!!

Anyone familiar with this outfit?

Will do a range report, but first have christmas and then back to the woods for one more week of deer season. But I will not forget.

Merry Christmas All!!!

Good guy. I've been buying them for years. As have a lot of members here.

The quality of NoExcuses is a true gem in the ML industry. Bullshop is another but supply is more limited than NoExcuses.

I am sure he is and I'm impressed so far. I hope the .45 cal. bullets work out in the TC Seneca!! Not many bullets available in my area. If these don't work I'll have to go with PRB. Nothing wrong with that though. Got a soft spot for PRB's. I love shooting them in my TC Big Boer .58 cal.

Lots of folks love them! I honestly don't think I've ever heard a negative comment about them. I plan to get some 535gr to try out in my .54 soon.

I never realized the 45-cal No Excuses were .451.
Just curious! Has anyone ever tried shooting them in a long Harvester sabot?

I have been buying them for years. And to answer Triple Seven's question... yes! I loaded them in a long black sabot and shot them with 70 grains of powder out of my T/C Black Diamond XR. They did really well.

Wow...... I must have close to a 100 No Excuse 460s and another 100 Harvester sabots.

Dave
The lube on it should be tacky enough, so there's no need to do a bullet wipe prior to inserting it in the sabot?

Or should I wipe off the lube with alcohol first?

Has anyone recovered one after being used?Just curious to how much weight the 460 gr would retain.
