Hornady SST = T/C Shockwave?
Hey All, Just wondering if anybody knows if the T/C Shockwave 250 is the same bullet as the Hornady SST 250? They look the same and I believe Hornady has made bullets for T/C in the past. Local Wally World has the Shockwave but no SST.
Also anybody have any experience shooting them out of an Encore? I' m looking for something that will perform a little better past 100yds. Ive had good luck with the Barnes MZ 250 but I' m sick of the high cost. $1.10 a bullet plus powder gets pretty expensive for practice and range work. Thanks... |

yes same bullets talked to a T/C rep myself. I have a .45 CVA and it' s a tack driver with the 200GR. Shockwaves. there about 46cents a round too!
Good shooting to ya! |
RE: Hornady SST = T/C Shockwave?
Excellent, just what I was hoping. I' d rather buy the SST' s because you get 20/box instead of 15 for about the same price but I can buy Shockwaves local in a pinch. Didnt want to travel for them just to find out they may not shoot well either.
If they shoot well for me, I can get the SST' s through a buddy for under $7 per 20rd box. Much better than $11 for 10 Barnes bullets. Now if I switch to loose powder instead of pellets I might actually be able to afford to shoot this dang thing. Thanks fellas..... |
