Default Thompson Omega front sight

I've had the gun since '05 and bought new. I swear that "light pipe" fiber optic was loose since then. Kept sliding it back in with promise to fix it. The thing disappeared a couple of javelina trips back. I call Thompson/SW and they send me a new green one. Falls right through the slot. Call them back and call taker says they are supposed to send a new sight. They did and have it in hand. All no charge. Looks like a one screw change out.

Yep? Took old off and put new on with dab of lock-tite.

You can replace the fiber easily for the old one. Find yourself some .060" fiber. You cut it about 1/8" longer than you need. Heat one end and press it gently on a solid surface like a knife blade to form a slightly larger button, install it in the sight and snip it just a tad longer than the sight base, heat that end and while holding the fiber in place on the other end, push your blade against the heated end. Fixed!
