went to the range check guns and bullet/sabots
 

started with a mk-85......this is my #1 gun for my hunt that starts Thursday in Maryland.....I have 300hp/xtp mag bullets and the gun was sighted for them with harvester crushrib sabots so I kept the same bullets but I used the hornady sabots high pressure .452 that said they were for 300mag and 240 mag bullets....cci mag 11 caps/ 90 gr pyrodex/ 50 yards

I also got tc shockwave sabots and I had 300gr .452 blem (shockwave type) bullets from midland so I shot them from my tc black diamond xr Winchester 209 primers/90gr pyrodex 50 yards

i tried the 300hp/xtp mag with the hornady hi pressure sabots with the black diamond xr...209 Winchester primer/90 gr pyrodex rs/50 yards

i also got .452 250gr hp/xtp with harvester sabots and shot them out of the tc black diamond xr with 209 win primers/90gr pyrodex/50 yards.....i was starting to get shellshocked at this point lol

the top target my first shot with the knight mk-85 the cap went off but the gun didn't fire so i changed the cap and the 2nd time it fired but i was high i was thinking about the cap and as soon as i fired i knew i was off lol operator error lol its the hole at 12 oclock high

Most of the Knights I've sighted in prefer either 80-85 grains of powder...

I'd say your gun is shooting a little to the left, not that the deer should notice.

lol I told my buddies better towards the shoulder than the gut......someone said say there facing right ...lol I didn't think of that lol

im leaving for Maryland tonight too late to start messing with scopes if there close.....2 different guns its probly something im doing I bet

I'd like to see a picture of one of those sitka deer, if that's what you're after. And, like I said, the deer won't know the difference. Put it on him and let it rip.
