Finally, he says.

Being sixth down the line I imagine would make anybody chomp at the bit while waiting to finally get your turn. Well that day arrived.
Where I live you have to be 10 to get a mentor tag and start hunting. After watching his older brothers and sisters year after year get to hunt he finally turned 10 this past February. all that was on his mind was going hunting , this time not just to watch but to be the hunter. And he was a mighty happy boy yesterday.

The only bad thing was he didn't do it with a muzzleloader like his siblings.:eek2: He did it with a Custom MGM 6.5 Creedmore barrel on a TC Pro Hunter, using Hornady Superformance 120 gr GMX ammo.
123 yards.:s2: But at least he got his first deer. He is awful proud right now.

The addiction starts.

Tell him congrats.

just because it was not a muzzleloader makes little difference. That is a job well done. He should be proud as you too. Shooting your first deer is a big thing. And it looks like the young man got a dandy there. Going to be real good eating. Congratulations young man!!! You did a great job.

Think he really cares what the rifle was? Congrats to him, you, and the family!

Congrats little man!!!

If i ever went back to CFs, it would be something in 6.5mm, probably a 6.5x55 Swede.

Great deer for his first deer. Tell him CONGRATULATIONS and welcometo the Brotherhood. Also treasure the memories! I remember like it was yesterday when my son got his first deer.

And the beat goes on!

EXCELLENT

But it feel's funny saying "Congratulations Number Six". What's the young hunter's name (or maybe nickname)?

EDIT: Looked at the picture again. If he doesn't already have a nickname I would suggest "IronEyes".
