I agree. You might consider trying different primers too.

Working up loads for a muzzleloader is the same as working up loads for a center-fire rifle, IMHO. The barrel is our brass case . Keep playing with it and see how tight you can get the groups. :-)

Be sure to stay consistent in your loading techniques. Little things can make a big difference.

That SST group is tough to walk away from, particularly if repeatable. You mention a September MZ hunt. Is that for elk? I'd have greater confidence in the Partition if so. Nice shooting and keep posting as you dial in the Noslers.

It's a deer hunt. In KS they give us the last two weeks of Sept for a MZ season.

I do plan on tweaking the Nosler load. I have some options. I think I was more impressed with the SSTs than disappointed with the Partitions.
